Dr. Starr is dual board certified in anesthesiology and pain management. He has been practicing pain management for 12 years. He grew up in Southlake, Texas and graduated with high honors from the University of Notre Dame. He completed his medical school training in Galveston at the University of Texas Medical Branch, Texas’s first medical school. His residency in anesthesiology was completed at New York’s prestigious Mount Sinai hospital, followed by a pain medicine fellowship at the University of Virginia. He is joining Sigma Pain Clinic from his previous position on the faculty of Duke University School of Medicine. Dr. Starr is thrilled to bring his wife and three children home to Texas after a number of years away. He looks forward to combining his training and years of experience to offer the best in caring, compassionate, and cutting edge pain management to his patients.
