Physical Medicine
Physical medicine, also known as physiatry or rehabilitation medicine, specializes in the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of all types of disabilities related to the brain, nerves, bones and muscles. Often times, physician medicine takes a holistic approach to care that focuses on how the patient’s medical condition affects every aspect of their life, from their role in the workplace, to home and every day activities.
