Interventional Radiology

Whether you need to get to the bottom of your health concerns or need help managing an ongoing condition, you can count on the interventional radiology team at Guadalupe Regional Medical Center.

How interventional radiology helps
Our expert nursing staff, board-certified radiologists and interventional radiology doctor use advanced technology to perform procedures from biopsies to stent placements. And our high-tech equipment means we are also able to offer a wide range of minimally invasive procedures. This helps ensure your safety and improve your recovery after you undergo a procedure.

Most patients are referred to an interventional radiology doctor by their primary care provider or another specialist. If an abnormality is found on a routine scan, such as a mammogram or MRI, you can take the next step right here at GRMC. In most cases, our radiologists will take a sample of the tissue for analysis using an ultrasound- or CT-guided biopsy.

Patients with certain ongoing conditions, such as liver cancer or sclerosis, also see our interventional radiology team for ongoing care to help manage their comfort levels. Cardiac imaging, including stress tests and coronary calcium scans, can help you understand your risk for heart disease.
