Cardiac Catheterization Lab

The Cath Lab physicians and staff perform both diagnostic and interventional peripheral vascular procedures, diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, as well as interventional radiology procedures.

Cardiac Catheterization Lab

The catheterization lab at Guadalupe Regional Medical Center (GRMC) offers the specialized cardiovascular care our community counts on in a fully equipped, state-of-the-art facility. Most of the procedures we carry out are designed to help diagnose and treat heart or vascular conditions, such as blocked arteries, congestive heart failure and peripheral artery disease. We also perform special procedures such as kyphoplasty, nephrostomy, drainage catheter placement, and vascular access for dialysis.

If you are referred to the cath lab, you will be cared for by our experienced medical staff, which includes interventional cardiologists, interventional radiologists and our expert nursing team.

  • Percutaneous coronary interventions, including but are not limited to balloon angioplasty, coronary atherectomy, coronary stent placements and more.
  • Emergency heart and vascular care for patients who are admitted to the GRMC Emergency Department for cardiac or peripheral vascular emergencies.
  • Electrophysiology procedures, including placement of pacemakers and defibrillators to diagnose and treat long-term heart health issues.
  • Peripheral vascular procedures, which can diagnose vascular disease and treat blockages in the extremities and other blood vessels.
