Brian Scott, MD is a dedicated board-certified neonatologist with a passion for providing specialized care to critically ill newborns. He completed his undergraduate and graduate studies at Texas State University before earning his medical degree at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock. Dr. Scott pursued his pediatric residency at Dell Children’s Medical Center in Austin, gaining extensive experience in treating children with a wide range of medical needs. His commitment to neonatal care deepened during his fellowship in neonatology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, where he mastered the complexities of directing care for high-acuity and premature newborns.

Dr. Scott’s decision to specialize in neonatology was inspired by his early exposure to pediatrics, thanks to his godfather, a pediatrician in Corpus Christi. This experience gave him a unique perspective on the field of pediatrics and helped him recognize his desire for a more intensive, hospital-based practice. During his training, he found his calling in the NICU, captivated by the challenge of treating critically ill infants with complex conditions.

For Dr. Scott, the most rewarding aspect of his work is supporting families during their NICU journey. Witnessing the joy and relief on parents’ faces as they take their healthy baby home after a challenging start is a deeply fulfilling experience that continues to drive his commitment to neonatal care.
